A Letter from Bishop

Dear Beloveds,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Pastor Jeremy Fuerst has died while on a hiking trip in Colorado.

Please hold in your prayers his spouse, Pastor Shannyn Fuerst, their family, their friends, and their congregations (Jeremy - pastor at Central Lutheran in Everett & Shannyn - pastor at Faith Lutheran in Seattle.)

We pray:

Holy Comforter, we remember today our brother Jeremy. We are grateful for his smile, his sense of humor, his curiosity, his love of the outdoors, his faithfulness, and so much more. We are grateful to have known him. We pray for those who grieve – we especially remember his wife Shannyn, his parents, his brothers, his extended family, friends, the beloved folks at Central Lutheran, and all others who mourn. Comfort us as we bear the pain of his death, receive him into your loving arms, and grant us faith and hope in the resurrection through your Son Jesus.  Amen.

The synod office will share updates regarding a memorial service with the community as information becomes available.

Cards of care may be sent to:
